GAUGE: 16 sts & 20 rows = 4”/10 cm in St st on larger needles; 18 sts & 24 rows = 4”/10cm in cable st on larger needles.

A somewhat traditional Aran sweater makes the stitch patterns work in unusual ways as the cables subtly emerge between areas of basketweave stitch. This garment sports a pullover style with attached hood, which carries the pattern as well. Drop saddle shoulder continues one of the cable motifs from the hood out the full length of the sleeve. Sized from child size 12 to adult large, the sweater works for women as well.
