PATTERN DESCRIPTION
SIZING

This basic cardigan pattern is perfect for beginner knitters or any knitter who wants to use self-patterning yarns, highly textured yarns, or any yarn that just needs to be the star of the show. The pattern's blank canvas is also great for stripes or embroidered embellishments. Pattern includes instructions for crew neck and V-neck and knitting from the top down produces a seamless garment that is easily custom-fit. (Makes at least 24 different sweaters!)

Yarns used: Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky, color Supreme Purple, Cascade Cotton Rich, color #1457, and Schaefer Elaine, color Diane Fossey

  • Sport weight yarn, approx 775 (975, 1175, 1350, 1550, 1750) yds
  • US size 3-5 (3.25-3.75) needles, or size needed to achieve gauge (24" and 16 “ circular, one dpn set of 4 or 5)

OR

  • DK weight yarn (light worsted), approx 525 (675, 825, 975, 1075, 1225) yds
  • US size 5-6 (3.75-4.25 mm) needles, or size needed to achieve gauge (24" and 16 “ circular, one dpn set of 4 or 5)
